Experience

Once, long ago, I asked of my Higher Self, “Why did I go through X Experience?”  The answer?  “So we could see what you would do.”

!!!

See what I would do???  What kind of Inner, Higher, Whatever guidance was this?

And yet, I now agree with this HIT (Higher, Inner, Truth) entity.  This is what we do here.  We set ourselves up in impossible situations to see what we will do.

Possible Outcomes:  Firstly, will we survive in the body?  Secondly, was there a moment of exhilaration?  (Maybe the moment of exhilaration looked like terror.)  Thirdly, did we expand the parameters of our personal box?  (Meaning, are we now more our true Selves – larger, more confident, more creative, more grounded?)

At another Long Ago, it occurred to me that this place, this Third Dimensional Place, could well be termed the Playground of the Gods.  Here We, the Creator Godlings, knowing only Freedom, ordered a set of automatic conditions ensuring that we will inevitably experience Limitation:  right here, over there, up, down, pain (ouch!), pleasure (ahhh!), Death (ooops!), Not Death (boy, that was a close one), and on and on.

Why?

For Fun and Profit!!!!  Let me hasten to explain:  Fun you may have already figured out as being an Experience within a field that includes Limitation; Profit being what we EXPERIENCE when we open that enticing box presented to us after an Experience, the box labeled Know Thyself.

I suspect that in these adventures in Limitation we set ourselves the limitless goal of Experience, and that Experience is, really, what it’s all about.  You know, the Meaning of Life.

Why not?  What else is there to do here?

So we have set ourselves a smorgasbörd of tasty Experience, and assured ourselves that anything we want is here for the taking.

But the Rules of this Game are not printed on the inside of the box.  Oh, no!  ‘Cause what can be more fun than pretending we don’t know the rules and having to determine what they are by looking back on the events that led up to us lying here in a heap, bleeding and broken, the result of our careening slide down this particular slippery slope, the slide that ended in this crash when we bounced off that brick wall just ahead?  The whole analysis:  How did we get Here from There?

The Eternal Questions:  Where am I?  Who am I?

And then there is the Fact that the Experience of Creativity can only occur in a field that includes Limitation.

Here it is in the proverbial nutshell:  No Limitation, no Experience.

Right there is the whole of the Rule, printed in invisible ink, on the inside of the box.  The question:  Can we See?
